Then I went straight to Whole Foods and stocked up on supplies. My first effort was Sweet Potato purée with brown basmati rice. I was so proud and my wee one did awesome! Then that night as she awakened I noticed she had thrown up in her crib... As a parent that was unsettling to say the least.
So I went back to Whole Foods and got some organic jar food. That is when I got lectured by the bag boy whose girlfriend was pregnant, that they were going to make theirs from scratch. After I looked around to see if I was being Punked I smiled and went about my business.
After I started feeding her I realized it was much thinner than the consistency I originally tried. So I tried again and nailed it with the help of a great baby food cookbook called "Super Baby Food." So far it's been a couple of months and we are up to 2-3 meals a day and I'm doing research on spices and herbs I can start to incorporate. It's a process so stay tuned.
