There hasn't been a lot of posting going on this week but I'm never too busy to not talk about burgers.
Recently a new burger joint opened on the south side of Chattanooga and a group of us decided to go and hang out after work one night. There were multiple different types of burger concoctions that were one better than the other. So in an effort to make a decision I chose the Sunny Side Burger.
Decadent doesn't even begin to describe it.
There is just something about a medium rare burger with a runny egg yolk and a slice of smoked gouda melted on top. It makes life a better place. So as I try to get over my addiction to this burger, I know in the meantime I must put this out to the void....
If you love burgers as much as I do then you better put an egg on it...

These look so yummy! I have banned myself from having burgers for a while but your pictures are so tempting that I want to try to make these. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteBurgers with eggs are my favorite! I can't cook them at home without one!
ReplyDeleteThis does look decadent! And I think that is the most beautiful fried egg I've ever seen. Seriously, you got skills in the egg department.
ReplyDeleteI had pizza once with egg on top (yum!) but I actually haven't had it with a hamburger. I definitely need to give this a try.
My kind of burger. Love runny eggs...with gouda, yum! Brandie - this great local place as pizza with salted runny eggs......SO GOOD!
ReplyDeleteI love runny eggs too! This looks so tempting :)
ReplyDeletewonder how this would taste with a turkey burger.. yumm...
ReplyDeleteI LOVE eggs on hamburgers. I've only had one before and it was the most amazing thing EVER.
ReplyDeleteI have never had an egg on a burger but I SO want to try it! This looks really good
ReplyDeleteMy husband's favorite!! Great pics! ♥- Katrina
ReplyDeleteMy husband would love that. He always gets the burgers with eggs :D.
ReplyDeleteI must try this...I have seen it before and always forger. With some sharp cheddar...I die
ReplyDeleteBeautiful food photo. Delicious looking sunny side burgers.
ReplyDeleteA fried egg -- on anything -- virtually always makes it better. I once went to this restaurant Animal in Los Angeles, where they do a foie gras loco moco, which is a hamburger patty, with a piece of spam (yes, spam) on top, then foie gras, then a fried quail egg. It's a rift on a Hawaiian classic, but I'm telling you, the fried egg makes it.
ReplyDeleteOh MY!!! Your description simply makes my mouth water... I've never had a burger with an egg, but wow, that sounds SO good! Add the cheese and it is indeed perfect. Wow, wow, wow!! I guess I'm a little excited!!! =)
